The city of Kumertau is founded in 1953 and located in the foothills of the southern part of the Ural Mountains, on border of the Republic of Bashkortostan and the Orenburg region, Europe and Asia. Our city which has appeared on the map of Bashkortostan and Russia more than half a century back, we love as the child. Grandfathers and fathers built it before our eyes and to us left in inheritance a pride and beliefs that Kumertau — is the light city with happy destiny.
The city is obliged by the emergence to a field of brown coal which then the country so needed. It rose on an uninhabited place, far from iron and highways, electric power sources, without having production base. The big help in allocation of resources was rendered then by Kuyurgazinsky, Meleuzovsky, Fedorovsky, Sterlitamak, Yumaguzinsky areas.
In those filled with enthusiasm, years our first builders rallied the efforts and put a basis of a present stable situation in the south of Bashkortostan. There were years, the city of coal miners acquired new branches, and today a uniform family there live in it mechanicians and energy drinks, builders and transport workers, miners and gas workers, specialists of other branches of economy and the social sphere.
The representatives of many nationalities who have arrived there is no time to build our city, rallied in a uniform brotherhood of fellow countrymen. Their business now in reliable hands of youth which as well as the senior generation of citizens, values good traditions, adopting peculiar simplicity for kumertausets and warmth of the human relations, goodheartedness and mutual respect. Each time, being far from the hometown, we remember its shady avenues, a necklace of the surrounding woods, our winged symbols: the plane and the helicopter established on pedestals, as the promise of high flight. We from a tribe of optimists and everything at us will turn out!
